The most effective way to remember your wife's birthday is to forget it once.

Boy, was this last weekend a great time to be had! Looking back, I spent all of Saturday night at Dan’s house in celebration of his 17th birthday. And if you thought Dan was a ham at Dusty’s party, wait till you see him at his own birthday party. They grow up so quick!

As soon as I arrived, it seemed like the whole gang had already been having a great time with video games and zombies. But I didn’t miss much, because soon after my arrival it was time for some festive birthday cake! Hurrah!

Oops...don’t choke!

After we finished eating, the whole group indulged in snacks and lounged around playing games and surfing the web. Dan is such a computer whiz; he found the neatest website I’d ever seen! I’ll be sure to bookmark this one!

The evening wore on and the whole gang had played through tons of rounds on the Nintendo and gulfed down dozens of soda pop cans. At least that’s what I assumed was being gulfed down, until I overheard Dan in the bathroom. Oh that silly Dan!

Well, the party eventually winded down and everyone decided to go back home. But I had a great time, and I can’t wait for next year’s party. Thanks Dan!
